The leadership team for Youth Team Canada has been together since early 2003, and is poised to take the team to great heights at the Culinary Olympics this year.  Each of our leaders brings a different dimension to the team, rounding out what the team needs for success in Germany.  All coaches are part of The Culinary Institute of Canada training team, and have been devoting their own time above and beyond to assure success for the Youth Team Canada and the school.

Chef Hans Anderegg has great leadership qualities, and his great cold table skills are vital to the team’s success. Chef Hans is our emotional leader in the kitchen and is highly respected by team members. Chef Richard Braunauer gives us world class pastry skills, but more importantly, he is our team visionary and creates the style and vision that goes into presenting Team Canada among the world’s best. Chef Richard is the voice of reason and creativity that gives Youth Team Canada an edge over the rest of the teams.  Chef Craig Youdale, Manager of Youth Team Canada, oversees of all the logistics for the team and takes care of things with sponsors, public awareness, and travel so that the team and the coaches can worry about one thing and one thing only…working hard!

The leaders’ main concern is not only the success of the team, but also that the months leading to the competition are days that the team members enjoy and will never forget.
